So what did I have done? It's nothing cosmetic, just a septoplasty and I can NOT recommend this to anyone. Actually, I'm much better today but it was a rough road for five days because of nasal tubes (gross, I know) but my life changed once they were removed.
According to Wikipedia, "Septoplasty is a corrective surgical procedure done to straighten the nasal septum, the partition between the two nasal cavaties...Most surgeries are completed in 90 minutes or less, not including recovery time."
I have to thank the wonderful nurses at Kent Hospital! They took care of me during my surgery and the doctor told me that I was gabbing a lot about all kinds of stuff before being put under... That scares me, I can only imagine what I was saying.
(By the way - and I hesitate to say this during this current economic crisis - but I LOVED sitting home on the couch all day!)
